I am using FSX and want to use an 18 key number pad for various functions.

I have an issue with the programming of macros with some (not all) of the keys.

For example, all of the number keys are showing an event of 144() So if i map an event to button 1, it seems to work. But when I come to map button 2, it also returns 144() and then I get a warning message that the event is already mapped to button 1.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this an issue with number pads.

Any help would be very welcome

Your hardware is probably sending some non-standard sequence for those keys and then I would say Hidmacros can't cope with it.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I wanted to put this out there for anyone else having this issue. I am also using an 18 key external numeric pad (by Targus) and was having the issue of getting the mapping to work (144 on all number keys). The trick that I used to bypass this was hold down on the key and the actual map key number comes up. Hold down the key while hitting the "Scan" button under edit macro to get the mapping number into the trigger box. I hope this helps someone!
