Re: Sound in HIDMacro

Not yet :-). It was my idea to support this to have e.g. some recorded answers if you select something by key press, but - I did some tests and didn't find an easy way to play mp3 file - without threading support HIDmacros would be blocked until sound is played and no key presses would be recognized...

Re: TAB+ not working?

{TAB} works as single tab key, not as modifier. It means {TAB}R will send tab key press followed by R, not tab together with R.
However someone already requested this funcionality so TAB is also support as "shift key" - sent as & (ampersand).
So answer to your questions: try "&r" as key sequence.

Re: How to program keyboard combinations?

Are you simply saying the radio button selection is ignored if there's any text at all entered into the script tab? No. You have 2 tab sheets in macro definition: Predefined and Scripted. If you switch to Scripted sheet then you choose that script will be executed for this macro. If you switch to P...

Re: How to program keyboard combinations?

PeteDowson wrote:...but the "+q" (with control down) sends VK_MENU (scan code 38h) instead of VK_SHIFT
What about having simple command HIDMacros.SendKeys "^+q" in macro script?
What about sending ^+q as keyboard sequence directly from macro (Predefined - Send Keyboard Sequence)?

Re: How to program keyboard combinations?

I wonder why the scripting I added, exactly as per your example, actually stopped HIDmacros doing anything for those keypresses at all, then? I don't have this experience. I even took your hidmacros.xml, just re-mapped your F1-2 macro to my F1 key and it works as it should - execute Shift+F1 action...

Re: How to program keyboard combinations?

I wonder why the scripting I added, exactly as per your example, actually stopped HIDmacros doing anything for those keypresses at all, then? It didn't throw up an error in the macro or script. I don't know either. But if you have some test case I could reproduce (e.g. normal keyboard and Notepad o...

Re: How to program keyboard combinations?

Hmm, I don't have exactly your setup but this is what I tried: - used GOM player for testing and configured some action for Shift+F1 and another for Ctrl+Shift+F1 - defined very simple macro for F1 and as action used keyboard sequence +{F1} (no scripting) - now if I press F1 HIDmacros send Shift+F1 ...

Re: How to program keyboard combinations?

Pete, You can try this experimental build: http://www.hidmacros.eu/HIDMacros.exe I added function GetKeyState which corresponds to standard windows API routine . So you can check in macro e.g. if control is pressed by code: Dim ctrl ctrl = HIDMacros.GetKeyState(17) and 128 if (ctrl = 0) then ' ctrl ...

Re: How to program keyboard combinations?

Hi Pete Talking about keyboard HIDmacros uses single key presses as triggers. It actually uses "key down" event to fire associated macro. So you could have macro for F1 key press or Ctrl key press, but not for combination. This comes from original idea to use additional keyboard for macros to avoid ...
