Remove all the conditions, see the number in "Not yet assigned" message and use that number directly in ifs, without string.byte.

If you do not know scripting you can't effectively use LuaMacros, I'm sorry. You may give a chance to GUI that Cris announced recently - see http://www.hidmacros.eu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=570 You modifications should be ok, when you run the script you should get popup window to identify keyboard...

Just small comment: the second argument of lmc_device_set_name is actually regular expression that should match the "SystemId". So it can be any part of the Id making the match unique or even some more sophisticated regexp.

With lmc_send_input you can separate sending press or release only. With lmc_send_keys you can't - it always sends press & release. If you want + key to send shift down on press and shift up on release then you (of course) need to check direction value in the handler and do appropriate lmc_send_inpu...

I told you to use lms_send_input, not lmc_send_keys. With lmc_send_input you can send just shift and you can send only down or up event.
